Student loans are a common way to pay for college. In fact, about half of bachelor's degree recipients borrow money to help pay for their degree, according to an annual report from the College Board. While they're a common (and often necessary) tool to fund higher education, you should take loans with caution; student loan interest rates can be high, and taking on too much debt can make life after graduation difficult.
